Namaste…

Namaste…

A snake jumped across my path as I walked barefoot on the spring green New Forest land… ‘Anadi, Anadi – look…’ I called as it slithered in front of him and slid into the grassland.

A jumping slithering sliding snake with a beautiful yellow collar; a little grass snake.

I liked seeing the snake and the little water vole too that was settled in front of me on the path earlier, amongst the greenery and near the boggy marshland.

And the New Forest ponies – some with their foals.

As we walked and ran in the forestland following a route on our phones!

We passed several people with actual maps…

‘Perhaps that would be a good idea too’… We mused as our phone batteries were eaten up by following the route on the app – Anadi’s after half the route was done and mine just saw us back to familiar territory.

‘Let’s take a map as well another time!’ I said ‘Or we could get those battery charger things for our phones, of course…’

The world of technology…

Allowing us to explore the natural world, all part of the human experience on planet earth as we whirl through space

And time

Which doesn’t exist – when journeying in the step – life flows ever upward and outward from within; and with presence we experience the snake, the water vole and the app that leads us home…

When we were digital nomads – owning next to nothing whilst being connected to almost everything through the world of technology – we saw many snakes…!

Harmless green ones in Greece…

The most dangerous that there is in the jungle in Costa Rica, the eyelash snake that had whipped in front of me and Anadi as we clambered back up a little path having taken a pre breakfast skinny dip…

And then there was the viper in Thailand – Anadi was just short of treading on it, when I saw it and leapt backwards gasping – alerting Anadi…! It rose to attack and then disappeared into the inky night.

The snake, representing transformation, transition, change…

Always…

Everything changes in form

But at the centre of all the change is the silence within us

Stillness

Divine light

Namaste

‘The divine light in me bows to the divine light within you’

Slithery snake, little water vole, each pony – Anadi – all those we encounter on the path of life each and every day.
